                For gaining Right to Information, essential for ensuring human dignity and for promoting sustainable development, websites play an important role in disseminating information which is relevant and up-to-date.

                I trust the launching of the website on Angul district will mark the beginning of a chapter of integrated sustainable development. I also fervently wish that the website will be continuously updated.

          Our Govt. is giving great emphasis on e-governance for promotion of transparency and efficiency in administration. Therefore, it is imperative to involve people in implementation of developmental programmes and inform them properly. District website is an effective instrument to provide update information to the public.

            I hope, the website will go a long way in making e-governance a reality.

                Its  heartening to learn that Angul District is launching its own Website. This is truly a great moment for all of us. The site will act as ready information source not only to the people of the District but also to outsiders and key policy makers. Availability of key information at the 'strike of a button' should prove to be of immense help to both administrator and the public at large. I hope, the site proves to be the first step towards a full-fledged e-governing system as and when it becomes a reality.

            We will launch the Official Website of the District http://angul.nic.in on NIC Server soon. This will help the Internet users to know Angul, a district occupying centre stage of Orissa, not only because of its geographical   location, but  also  its  people,  abundant  resources  &   industry. I  request the users to send  e-mails to me to upgrade the site & enhance its utility.
