To keep track of all types of civil cases , criminal cases, Write petition cases and O.A.T cases filled against the state Govt. in different courts within the jurisdiction of the Angul District , issue of Arm licnece ,Explosive licence .
Organisational structure
The Judicial Section is functioning since inception of the district i.e. from 1.4.1993 as part of the District Adminstration, Collectorate,Angul. The District Magistrate /Addl. District Magistrate is the head of this judicial section. The statistics is as follows.
Details and responsibility of the judicial section:-
Defending cases filed in different courts of the District as well as before the Hon'ble High Court and Hon'ble Supreme Court.
Recommendation jointly with District Judge on the appointment of Govt. Advocates in different courts of the district and payment of their fees on receipt of allotment.
Grant ,renewal and cancellation of N.O.C under Petrolium Act/Explosive Act.
Grant ,renewal and cancellation of licence under cinematography Act as its renewal.
Grant ,renewal and cancellation of licence under Explosive Act.
Sanction of prosecution against the accused persons under Arms Act.
Maintenance of law and order situation in the District in consultation with police.
Conduct of enquiry as per the direction received from different courts like Lokpal/NHRC/OHRC.
Implementation of different other Act / Rules/executive instruction framed in Central Govt. and State Govt. and compliance to be order passed by the Supreme Court /High Court/Lokpal /NHRC and state commissioner of information Act.
Entering into the public complaints and its minimization.
Deployment of Executive Magistrates for Law and Order duty.
Holding of P.M.C meeting and senior officers meeting.
Transmission of Report returns to different quarters.
Sanction of leave of prisoners and recommendation for premature release of convicts of different jails of the district.
