Thanks for providing the data regarding provisional population (2011 census) in news gallery. Sex ratio 942 is not bad.  But the figure of Persons literacy & Female Literacy rate i.e. 78.96 & 70.44 respectively is not impressive at all. I hope our district administration is working on it seriously.

Hi,

Its really enchanting and feeling of pride, that Angul being an ocean 
of diversified treasures has really come out in front of the world to
get explored. Its all due to the support of Angul authorities and NIC,
whose efforts are clearly seen in the website.

Being born and brought up in this place, i feel great and thankful
that our place in lime lighted from all dimensions.

Great honour for our family to see my grandfather honourable,Veteran
Journalist Late Mr. Dinabandhu Tripathy's name being hosted in this
website.

Few points to be highlighted for the better look and adding value to
the content:
1) The site looks amazing , but the fonts and colours needs to be
slightly worked upon for a better and matured look.

2)The name of esteemed freedom fighters are been displayed in the
column, if their snaps as well as some related snaps of their
achievements will be uploaded , it will be very much informative and
proud feeling for family members also.

3) There should be a section where the people outside Angul like us
can sent some write-ups,articles,knowledge-sharing data,pics..... and
which can be uploaded in the site in some special occasions.

4)Last but not the least, as I went through some comments sent by many 
residents for the improvement of roads, lanes, lights etc etc which is
specifically to be looked into by the N.A.C. If the direct numbers or
email id are also displayed so that people can directly interact with
them, which will be helpful which is applicable for the schemes laid
by NAC in administration section.

Please feel free to revert back for any help or information needed.

It is nice to find out the official website of our District. The get up is ok. Please mention when the site was last updated . The site is very informative and please try to add new information as and when available.

The condition of the raod passing through GEETAGRAM is very pathetic. Recently a contractor has been awarded the tender for construction of the road. However the contractor chose to spread earth on both the exit routes and is not serious to complete the work. All of us inhabitants of the area are suffering a lot. Will our Collector please look into the matter !

      I really became surprised to see Angul District Website which contains a lot of information about the district. I am very much delighted to see nice photos & history of Laxmi Puja(Angul) & Ganesh Puja(Talcher) in the Website. I am thanking the District Administration and NIC, Angul for this wonderful Angul Website.

      I also took this opportunity to write some other problems of the district.

1. The main road from Angul Bus Stand to Bazar Chhak is in very bad condition. Necessary urgent steps may be taken to repair the road before Laxmi Puja.

2. Street lights are not working in many lanes and by lanes of the town. Please give necessary direction to Angul NAC to repair the same.

I was browsing through the site on Angul and your message for the first time. I find this interesting as it will provide direct access to you on-line. This will certainly provide a direct platform for building synergy with the district administration in general and you, in particular to share information and suggestions for improving district administration.

I write the following, which i feel should merit your attention. These projects will certainly be helpful in improving the overall life style of the district.

1. Water sports complex at Tikarpara ( with private sector/NRI participation)

2. Biotechnology park at Angul/Pallahara ( with central/TERI assistance)

3. A Management and Technology Institute at Talcher ( With NRI and Private sector assistance)

4. Opening up of call centres with the help of GE Capital, Infosys and Microsoft.

These are just a few. I know these are the job of the state and that too, again depend on the initiatives taken by the political leadership of the state as well as the local politicians pressure lobby. What I want is that the site should provide some blue prints or intention of the district administration to initiation action plan some kind of thought  on these subjects. Who's ever then will be interested or looking for the opportunities,  should be referred to the site for basic information.

I happened to visit the home page of Anugul District which has been launched recently in Jan'2003 and I was so pleased to see the contents. At the same time I have some suggestions to improve the aesthetics and contents of the site.

1.Photographs are not very sharp ,especially of Governor's, CM's and other dignitaries .Photographs from digital camera in .jpg format may be used instead of scanned image.

2.Light shaded colour at the background and deep text colour combination may be used to enhance the look of the page.
